Court Liaison

Primary function

  • Monitor disposition of court proceedings and assist client in obtaining services.

Scope of work

  • Provide services to criminal justice clients, court and local correctional offices.
  • Participate in all required court hearings.
  • Conduct client assessments and evaluations and make treatment recommendations.
  • Make referrals to appropriate resource agencies.
  • Develop and maintain referral sources.
  • Provide crisis intervention, when needed.
  • Submit SALS, SISARS and other reports as required. 
  • Assist in training and education of other staff members, interns and students.
  • Submit reports as required.
  • Participate in clinical staffing and team meetings.
  • Provide support for receptionist program.

  • Comply with all court directives.
  • Maintain clinical records in accordance with Agency standards.
  • Follow all established Agency policies and procedures.

  • Maintain the highest standards in ethical conduct and confidentiality.
  • Sustain a positive, caring, supportive recovery-oriented environment. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak effectively. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

Physical requirements

  • Regularly required to sit and talk or hear. Frequently required to stand and/or walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus
