Behavioral Health Technician (Community Housing)

  • Monitor and chart client behavior.
  • Assist with recreational activities. 
  • Transport clients as required (as approved by insurance provider and with DOT clearance)
  • Submit incident reports as required.
  • Participate in client staffing and team meetings.
  • Perform House check, as required.
  • Enforce house rules and curfew.
  • Monitor urine drug screens.
  • Provide administrative support as required.

Position Requirements:

  • Strong customer service.
  • Computer efficiency to include Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License (highly preferred).
    • Ability to pass a DOT (Department of Transportation) physical.
  • Must be able to carry or move at least 25 pounds.
  • Desire to grow in Behavioral Health field, a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • One-year related experience in the field of substance abuse and/or mental health counseling.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging with clients to effectively facilitate change.
  • Bilingual Preferred (Additional $1,000 bonus for certification, testing provided by COVE).

Job Type: (Non-Exempt). Full-time (shifts will include weekends).

Schedule: - 1st Shift- 6a-2:30p - 2nd Shift 2p-10:30p - Overnight 10ap-6:30a (BHT shifts will include weekends).

Pay: $15.00/hour.
